Dorothy is a senior researcher with more than 25 years’ experience helping government, corporate and not‑for‑profit organisations make confident, evidence‑based decisions in complex and sensitive environments. She partners closely with clients to provide clear insights that inform strategy, policy, communications and service design.
A dualist researcher with deep qualitative expertise, Dorothy specialises in uncovering the underlying motivations, perceptions and trade‑offs that shape stakeholder and community behaviour. Her work enables organisations to understand risk, test assumptions and identify practical pathways forward—particularly where issues are contested, highly technical or socially complex. Clients value her ability to translate nuanced research findings into actionable guidance for senior decision‑makers.
Dorothy has advised across a broad range of policy and market contexts, including energy, health, transport, infrastructure and ageing. Her experience spans stakeholder and customer perception audits, community sentiment research, program and policy development, and customer experience research. She has led major research programs for organisations such as energy market bodies, utilities and government departments, supporting regulatory processes, communication development and long‑term planning.
An experienced facilitator and presenter, Dorothy is highly regarded for engaging diverse audiences through workshops that build alignment, surface insight and support informed decision‑making.
She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine and Health at The University of Sydney, a Master of Applied Social Science and a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from the University of Technology Sydney and is a full member of The Research Society.
